Seasonal uniform

· Fashion

I can’t remember where I read about the slim jeans not being trendy anymore.

So, obviously, it is out of the question to throw away all my slims and skinny pants that I am still fond of, but I have noticed that I wear more easily jeans with a Mom, flare or Boyfriend cut: first of all because it is comfortable but also because it’s closer to this so-loved male look.

On these pictures, usual ‘tomboy’ mood, so: Mom jeans slightly pre-slashed, loafers, flowing trench: my seasonal uniform!

An ASOS wedding

· Fashion, Illustration

The wedding season has just started, and in order to celebrate, I made these drawings for ASOS. The idea was to draw outfits for brides and bridesmaids.

So I had quite a lot of fun doing some virtual shopping in the new Asos Wedding collection (but not only there) in order to create chic yet budget-friendly outfits.

D-Day

Our bride chose a rather simple dress, but the outfit really comes together with the details of the straps and sparkly belt. In her hair, a crown of white roses and high silver sandals. And let’s not forget this tiny pearl shaped ear-jewel.

Her red-head best-friend opted for a lilac colored draped dress with tiny assorted rose shaped hair-pins. She’s also wearing silver sandals (to coordinate with the bride!) and spices things up a bit with her pastel colored sequin clutch.

The 2nd brunette bridesmaid wears the same hair-pins as her friend, as well as the same sandals but with a more reasonable heel (you can feel she’s ready to give the dancefloor her all!). She opted for a strapless flowery dress and a silver bracelet.

… and the other days

But these 3 ladies are not really spendthrifts and wanted to use their dresses again!

The bride wore her dress again (without the belt) with a sleeveless perfecto, a charms adorned hat and a fringed bag for a bohemian look. Flat sandals and she’s ready for Coachella! (yeah, when you’re reasonable with your wedding budget, you can spend more on travels! What a clever bride!)

Our red-head chose a layed-back look, pairing her lilac dress with a jeans jacket and striped espadrilles. Add a cap and you have a perfect vacation outfit!

Last but not least, our brunette is staying in the pastel palette with a flowy pink trenchcoat and a bag with a heart shaped lock (what a romantic: fyi, she’s still looking for her prince charming). To break with the “ceremony” feel of the dress, she’s wearing cut-out sneakers.

#WorkHappy

When you work in creative domains, the frontier between work and play is often tenous, and you often don’t even count the number of hours spent on a project!

I generally work from home, but last week, May Day was a great time for HP & Intel® to show me another – even more pleasant – way to work, thanks to the HP Stream x 360 with Intel Inside® laptop/tablet.

Both useful and pleasant, I got to test their latest little technological jewel while sipping on a cappucino (and/or a hot chocolate) at the – just recently opened – Hexagone Café (strongly recommended by a friend, and now I know why!).

Whistle (& eat) while you work

I went and changed my working habits, and I must say it was extremely pleasant! I wrote a couple extra blog posts, looked for inspiration with regards to my illustration projects and enjoyed a cheesecake that was both airy and crispy.

HP Stream x 360 with Intel Inside ®

I got to test this laptop in very cosy circumstanes, and this one combines rather interesting technical advantages.

The computer integrates a free Pack Office 365 (Excel, Word, Power Point, OneNote and Access) and also supplies a 1To Cloud OneDrive stocking space for a year: perfect for pictures (my Ewan, blog pictures and drawings take up quite some space!) videos and other favorites.

Extreme 360° flexibility

It’s quite fast, thanks to the reknown Intel® processor; what I found extremely clever was the 360° flexibility (as you can see here). A classic laptop for which you can twist and turn the screen every which way or use it as a touchscreen tablet: it’s magic!

But efficient work also rhymes with short breaks. And what better way to do just that than before a good movie? And if it has Colin Firth Inside ® you’ve got yourself some eyecandy as well … hehe! (English translation by Bleu Marine)
