That 70’s look

· Fashion

Be a bit more patient before I start talking about mountain food (I draw out the pleasure), I would like to go back to the seasonal looks first. We’ve been hearing about the return of the flare ( but I have this feeling that it has never really left because I often wear them (here or there)). So it was a pleasure to dig it out for a 70s style.

Aside from that, I can see flourishing online the 7/8 flare pants called “cropped flare”. I don’t really know what to think about it: I don’t think they are particularly pretty but it fits Alexa Chung well for instance (but honestly what doesn’t fit her?).

And the positive thing is that might avoid dragging the bottom of your pant on the ground. So are you for or against?

The Spa at Les Barmes

· Fashion, Travel

And we continue with our visit of the beautiful “Les Barmes de l’Ours” hotel by heading over to their spa, where you can treat yourself to some quality relaxation after a long day skying (or in our case snowshoeing).

I’m enjoying massages a lot more since my trips to Thaïland, and during this weekend in the mountains, the pampering was clearly in line with thaï tradition.

Hot stones & thaï massage

I chose to get the hot stone massage for an hour, and the relaxing and soothing qualities of the basalt stones won me over: I was so relaxed I almost fell asleep during the massage!

My SO on the other hand, in quest of something more invigorating opted for another type of massage (called “modelage thaï”), and was stretched out in true thaï fashion.

We met up again at the pool and basked in our post-massage state witha Genmaïcha tea and candied fruit…pure happiness, with a view on the snowy mountaintops.

While I am aware that these two last posts were a lot on the descriptive side, I do hope you’ll enjoy the next one, which will be about food…and you shouldn’t be disappointed, for instead of lounging by the pool, I should be doing laps, if you know what I mean. Superstars

· Fashion

Before leaving again to the mountains, a short break for a look made with the Superstars sneakers because yeeeees! I gave in. After the Stan Smith and the Gazelle, the Holy Trinity is finally reunited. We can see them everywhere, it is not very original, but I love the looks we can compose with them.

Today, a 2-in-1 look: warm version or not. It is the kind of outfit I really like wearing because I feel good at every level; style (suits, are the best thing invented), temperature (this gradual leaf removal system is convenient), and practicality (I militated for the clutches with a strap, I found a new one that let my hands free).

PS: Happy Year of the Goat everyone! (It’s my year, baaaaaa!!!)
