Recently, Etsy asked me to select my favorite “fashion” items on their website. I must admit I’m more used to ordering deco elements, but I was curious, and set out on my quest for unique fashion items.
As you know, Etsy is all about worldwide creators : every style is represented. And that’s the thing, the options are so vast you hardly know where to begin. But as I visited the website and saved my favorite items, Etsy selected shops for me that corresponded to my tastes perfectly.
It made my task much easier, and I found my one-of-a-kind items : here they are! (…and so you can have a bit of fun too, you’ll find a giveaway at the end of this post!)
Kamomeya
Pipio vintage japanese dress Kamomeya
This is paradise for Japanese vintage dresses! Japanese are often quite tiny, so there’s an impressive selection of XS and XXS sizes, but I was so happy when I found this flowered japanese dress in my size!
I’ll probably wear it this winter too, with tights, boots and a perfecto jacket, for a more grunge/rock 90s look.
Nouswe
Vintage basket NousWe
I had been looking around for a reasonably sized basket. This vintage shop with a lot of natural deco and tableware made my dreams come true. I wore it non stop at the end of this summer (to go give Colin a hug for example).
As I’m writing this, my pick is only available in large : if you’re interested!
Uhlalaland
Top Capri Uhlalaland
I love this portugese shop for tailor-made clothes! No more sizing issues, and a great selection of minimalist and rustly creations for a great price, considering it’s all hand-made.
I got this off-the-shoulder top and this shirt-dress that I will probably be wearing as a tunic on slim-fit jeans.
Guyguyguy Shop
Eyelashes enamel pins GuyGuyGuyShop
Shirt-dress Uhlalaland
Fashion means accessories: This lashes-pins will be a great detail for my shirt-collars, giving them just the right amount of fun.
Vestiaire des hommes
Vintage bag Vestiaire des Hommes
You must have seen this bag a couple times now. I’m really happy about it (I also found this striped tshirt you see below).
I think I’ll be keeping an eye out for this Montreal-based shop, because it regularly restocks and offers 80/90s “tomboy-style” vintage clothes and accessories. Everything I love!
MadHatterPlushies
Vintage striped shirt Vestiaire des Hommes
Patch MadHatterPlushies
I was hysterical when I discovered the insane amount of Sailor Moon related creations you can find on Etsy. Of course, some are more “polished” than other, but when I found this Luna patch, I immediately wanted to customize my canadian tshirt with it.
I wanted to make it less classical, kind of like a “Comme des Garçons” tshirt, but with a “lunar” touch that makes the whole difference.
OffOn
Checked blouse OffOn
A lituanian shop that makes dresses and clothes to order. I chose this checkered blouse, that I think I’ll wear open, like a light fall jacket.
Minetta Jewellery
Customizable necklace Minetta Jewellery
I was looking for a customized gift for my friend Candice’s birthday.
I found this delicate and customizable jewellery shop. I didn’t have to think too long about what inscription I wanted to have engraved, and so I ordered two necklaces : one for my “Babe” and one for me!
Olive Thomas Shoes
Flats Olive Thomas
Once again, something tailor-made, for shoes this time! I opted for this simple ballerina pair, with the detail that makes it special … and this red leather!
