Reprenons le chemin de mon périple américain un peu modifié, comme je vous le disais, à cause du Shutdown. J’avais prévu de visiter le Grand Canyon, encore une fois pas de chance, c’était fermé.
Nous avons donc dû réorienter notre trajet vers Las Vegas et par hasard, sommes allés découvrir « The Valley of Fire State Park », qui étonnamment, n’avait pas fermé ses portes. Comme vous pouvez vous en douter, son nom lui vient de la couleur rouge-feu de ses rochers, datant de la Préhistoire (Hop hop hop ! On rouvre ses cours de géologie !). Je vous laisse découvrir ces photos, plutôt dépaysantes en cette période automnale !
Let’s get back to my american journey, slightly modified, as I was telling you, by the Shutdown. I had planned to visit the Grand Canyon, but once again, no such luck, it was closed.
So we reoriented our route towards Las Vegas, and incidentally, we went to visit « The Valley of Fire State Park », that hadn’t closed. As you can imagine, its name comes from the fire-red color of the rocks, that date back to the prehistoric era (Chop Chop! Let’s reopen those geology textbooks!).
