Voilà un aperçu de mes ongles durant cette période de fêtes ! Pour ceux qui me suivent sur Instagram, au départ, ça ressemblait plus à ça… Puis, les jours passant, je me suis dit que ce serait plus joli si le résultat était plus tranché avec l’ongle mi-pailleté mi-noir…

Here’s an glimpse on my nails during this festive time! For those who aren’t following me on Instagram, at first it looked more like this… And then, as the days went by, I thought it would be nicer if the result were bolder with the nail half-sequined half-black…

Le secret de ce genre de manucure est, il me semble, connu de toutes, mais pour celles qui découvriraient aujourd’hui, la méthode est la suivante :

Il suffit juste de passer une première couche de vernis (ici le vernis Graphite de Chanel), bien le laisser sécher, puis coller un morceau de scotch en diagonale et passer la couche de l’autre vernis (ici Lady in Black de OPI). Une petite touche de top coat ensuite pour bien faire briller le tout et c’est fini !

The secret of this type of manicure is, I believe, known by all, but for those of you who are finding out about it today, the method is the following:

You just need to use a first layer of nail polish (here I used Chanel‘s Graphite nail polish), let it dry, then stick a piece of tape diagonally and apply a layer of the other nail polish (here it’s OPI‘s Lady in Black). Le « Moi » de Décembre

Pendant cette période de fêtes, malgré les gourmandises qui tentent de détourner mon attention, je n’oublie pas notre rendez-vous mensuel pour choisir mon look préféré et mon look « bof bof » du mois de Décembre.

+ aimé : ma tenue avec la robe Petit Bateau x Carven car elle change un peu de ce que je porte d’habitude. C’est plus féminin et « preppy » mais j’aime beaucoup ce genre de looks finalement. J’hésite tout de même avec ma tenue avec le bonnet bordeaux, un peu plus décontractée mais restons sur notre premier choix, je valide la tenue Petit Bateau Carven, c’est mon dernier mot.

– aimé : Cette tenue avec le manteau. Je ne la déteste pas non plus mais je dirais que je préfère ma tenue sans le manteau (cad avec le sweat girafe, oui oui celui que vous trouviez un peu spécial !). Il y a un peu trop de décalage entre la tenue avec et sans manteau, ce qui fait que cette tenue n’est pas 100% harmonieuse pour moi. Il faut libérer l’animal qui est en soi voyons !

During the holiday season, even with all the sweets trying to distract me, I wouldn’t dream of forgetting our monthly meeting for the best and least liked outfit worn in December.

+ liked: my outfit with the Petit Bateau x Carven dress, because it’s a change from what I usually wear. It’s more feminine, more « preppy » but I actually really like that type of outfit. Although my outfit with the burgundy winter beanie did create some hesitation – it was more casual -, but let’s stay with our first choice. I hereby validate the Petit Bateau x Carven outfit, and it is my last word.

– liked: this outfit with the coat. I don’t hate it either, but I’d say I like my outfit better without said coat. (i.e. with the giraffe sweater, yes, yes, the one you think is a bit odd!) The gap is a bit too big between the outfit with and without the coat, which is why I don’t find the outfit 100% harmonious. One has to free the wild animal within! Joyeux Noël !

J’espère que vous passez toutes et tous d’agréables fêtes en compagnie de ceux que vous aimez et que le Père Noël a été généreux. Comme le disait la maman de Forrest Gump, « La vie c’est comme une boîte de chocolats, on ne sait jamais sur quoi on va tomber »…

Je vous souhaite donc de ne tomber que sur les meilleurs (ou alors si vous tombez sur les chocolats noirs fourrés au praliné et au café (pour moi la pire torture en ce bas monde), veillez à les déposer avec discrétion dans le terreau de la plante verte de votre Grand Mère).

Quoiqu’il en soit, que cette période de Noël soit la plus douce et réconfortante possible ! De l’amour, de l’amour, de l’amour ! A très vite !

I hope that you’re all enjoying a nice festive season together with your loved ones and that Santa has been generous. As Forrest Gump’s mum used to say, « Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get »…

So I wish for you to get only the best (or if you get the dark chocolate ones filled with praline and coffee (for me the worst torture in this world), make sure you dispose of them discretely in the soil of your grandmother’s house plant).
